WINNER INFORMATION

Joyce Allison is 22 years old from Greenville, South Carolina graduating in December from Clemson University with a 3.66 GPA in Communications. 6. Winner Determination: The winner for each Prize Pool will be selected according to the criteria set forth below:

  1. Judging Phase: During the Judging Phase, qualified judges selected by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will select from amongst all eligible Submissions received from legal residents of each country, that country's ten (10) finalists based on the following criteria ("Judging Criteria"):
    • Creativity (20%);
    • Quality (20%);
    • Ability to entertain (20%);
    • Ability to bring to life and clearly explain travel or cruising concepts (20%); and
    • Ability to articulate why entrant should be his/her country's Reporter at Sea (20%).
    In the event of a tie for a finalist position, the entrant whose Submission received the highest score in the Creativity category, as determined by the qualified judges in its sole discretion, will be deemed the applicable finalist. Sponsor reserves the right to select fewer than the stated number of finalists for any Prize Pool if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Submissions for that respective Prize Pool.
  2. Voting Phase: During the Voting Phase, the ten (10) finalists' Submissions for each Prize Pool will be posted in an online gallery for public voting at http://www.oasisoftheseas.com/reporteratsea. Persons who meet the geographic eligibility criteria as set forth in Section 1 will be able to vote for the Submission they believe has the most public appeal. Limit: Each voter may vote for one (1) entry one (1) time per day during the Voting Phase. Multiple votes received from any person or email address after the first vote received from that person or email address will be void. Finalists are prohibited from obtaining votes by any fraudulent or inappropriate means, including, without limitation, offering prizes or other inducements to members of the public, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Subject to the finalist's compliance with these Official Rules, the finalist for each Prize Pool whose Submission receives the highest number of valid votes during the Voting Phase will be deemed that Prize Pool's potential Grand Prize winner. In the event of a tie for any Prize Pool's Grand Prize, the entrant in that Prize Pool whose Submission received the highest score in the Creativity Category, as determined by the qualified judges in their sole discretion, will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winner. Sponsor reserves the right to award fewer than the stated number of prizes, if, in its sole discretion, it does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Submissions for a given Prize Pool. Sponsor also reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to select an alternate potential Grand Prize winner for a Prize Pool should the voting appear to have been tampered with or manipulated in any way.

    For the Voting Phase: Multiple voters are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any voter to submit more than the stated number of votes by using multiple/different email addresses, identities or any other method will void that voter's Submission(s) (if any) and votes and he/she will be disqualified from further participation in the Contest. Use of script, macro or any other automated system to vote is prohibited and all such votes will be void. Released Parties (as defined in Section 9 below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, garbled, delayed, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected votes, which will be void. In the event of a dispute as to any vote, the authorized account holder of the email address used to vote will be deemed to be the voter. The "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address.

7. Winner Requirements: Each potential winner will be notified by mail, email or phone on or around October 26, 2009. The potential Grand Prize winner for each Prize Pool will be required to execute and return to Administrator, within three (3) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent, a photo of his/herself and an Affidavit of Eligibility, Liability & Publicity Release ("Affidavit") (if winner is resident of Germany, Mexico or the U.S.A.); a Declaration of Compliance ("Declaration") (if winner is a resident of Canada); or a Confirmation of Eligibility form, and Liability/Publicity Release ("Confirmation") (if winner is a resident of the United Kingdom) in order to claim his/her prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to execute and return the Affidavit, Declaration or Confirmation within the required time period, is not in compliance with these Official Rules, or prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner forfeits the prize. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the prize may be awarded to a runner-up, in Sponsor's sole discretion. Only three (3) alternate winners in each Prize Pool will be selected through this process, if time permits, after which the applicable prize will remain un-awarded. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute and signify winner's agreement and consent that Sponsor and its designees may use the winner's name, city, state, likeness, photo, Submission and/or prize information in connection with the Contest for promotional, public relations, advertising or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where prohibited by law. Additionally, by accepting a prize, each winner agrees to create up to three (3) video vignettes while on the pre-inaugural cruise describing that winner's experience aboard the cruise (each a "Video"). Each Video is subject to Sponsor approval, must be uploaded to a Sponsor selected site and must comply with the Guidelines and Content Restrictions set forth in Section 5, above, and for the U.S. winner each Video will be uploaded to a USA TODAY site and must comply with USA TODAY's guidelines. Without limiting the generality of these Official Rules and to the extent legally possible, winner shall irrevocably grant, transfer, convey and assign to Sponsor the entirety of the rights in and to the Submission and any of the up to three (3) Videos created while aboard the inaugural cruise and all renewals and extensions of copyright, and the right to secure copyright registrations thereto in perpetuity including, without limitation, the rights to use the Submission and/or Video for any and all purposes in any and all media whether now known or hereafter developed, on a worldwide basis, in perpetuity and royalty-free. Winner accepts and acknowledges that Sponsor shall not be obligated to use the Submission and/or Video and that Sponsor in its sole discretion shall have the right to refrain from using the Submission. Sponsor shall not incur any liability whatsoever to the extent Sponsor chooses to refrain from any exploitation of its rights hereunder. Winner will indemnify Sponsor, Released Parties (as defined in Section 9, below) and any licensee of Sponsor against all claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable counsel fees and legal expenses) arising out of any breach of these terms by winner. Without limiting the generality of these Official Rules and to the extent legally possible, the U.S. winner shall irrevocably grant, transfer, convey and assign to USA TODAY the entirety of the rights in and to any of the up to three (3) Videos and reports created while aboard the inaugural cruise and all renewals and extensions of copyright, and the right to secure copyright registrations thereto in perpetuity including, without limitation, the rights to use the Video and the reports for any and all purposes in any and all media whether now known or hereafter developed, on a worldwide basis, in perpetuity and royalty-free. USA TODAY shall not be obligated to use the Video or reports prepared by the U.S. winner and USA TODAY, in its sole discretion, shall have the right to refrain from using any Video or report prepared by the U.S. winner.
